'The Circle': When Will Season 2 Premiere?

Season 1 of The Circle was an instant success. The Netflix show put contestants in quarantine before it was cool. After audiences fell in love with the show, everyone was wondering when season 2 would come out. In comparison to other shows, The Circle was well equipped to handle filming during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. So, when will The Circle season 2 premiere?

Season 1

Season 1 introduced most American viewers to the rules of the game. In season 1, seven contestants entered at the beginning of the competition, and new people joined every time one of the contestants was kicked off. The goal of the game was to be the most popular player on the imaginary social network. On season 1, Joey Sasso took home the $100,000 prize.

“I was really unsure what [the show] was going to be,” Sasso told Esquire of his thought process when applying for the show. “I’m an actor and live in Los Angeles. I’ve been up here since I was 18, and part of that is never doing stuff that isn’t scripted—you know… reality television. But this came up and it felt so right. The concept felt so fresh that I never really had to worry about making mistakes that would stick with me for 20 years. I went into it optimistic and hoped for the best. The one thing, now that everyone knows the outcome, is that I never once thought about winning the show.”

Despite being quarantined from the other contestants, Sasso even managed to make a love connection while on the show. Throughout the season, he and late-comer Miranda Bissonnette flirted before she was kicked off the show. When given the opportunity to meet one player in person, Bissonnette went to Sasso’s room and the two shared a kiss. After the show, they met up and went on a date.

“It wasn’t a $100,000 winner date because at this point, the show had just ended,” Sasso told the outlet. “We weren’t allowed to follow each other on social media, but she came out to LA to stay with me. This question has come up a lot.”

‘The Circle’ season 2

This season of The Circle will have a few twists. Netflix recently released a trailer for the season that showed more than a few surprises. Eight new players will join the show in the beginning, including Too Hot to Handle contestant Chloe Veitch.

“The Circle is back and this time, it’s more strategic than ever,” narrator Michelle Buteau says in the trailer. “To stay in the game, players must become popular and to do that, they can be real or try to fool everyone with a fake profile. And with $100,000 at stake, how you play, is everything.

According to the trailer, there will be romance, there will be backstabbing, and there will even be a twist thrown into the mix in the form of a mysterious joker.

And oh yea, Lance Bass of *NSYNC  will also be joining the season.

When will season 2 premiere?

Unlike most shows on Netflix, all of the episodes of The Circle will not become available at once. The first four episodes will premiere on April 14 and then new episodes will drop every Wednesday for four weeks.
