The Flash show boss reveals the ‘powerful and devastating’ DC villain who will front season 7 – The Sun

THE Flash's show boss has revealed the powerful and devastating villain that will be introduced to the show in season 7.

Godspeed is a major villain in the comics and will be seen on screen in the next season of the superhero TV series.

He was first teased back in season 5, when Barry Allen's daughter Nora battled a version of him and was able to emerge victorious with some assistance an imprisoned Reverse-Flash which was set in the year 2049.

Jumping to season 6's opening episode, it became clear that Team Flash had chased down four Godspeed drones, before a fifth Godspeed drone later in the season, which was fended off by Pied Piper and Barry.

Showrunner Eric Wallace was asked by TV Line if fans will finally see The Flash lock horns with the real Godspeed, aka August Heart, next season.

With an 'evil laugh', he responded: "Yes, you just might… Because that's where we're going!"

Fans have something to look forward to ahead of the new season as a press release containing spoilers for the new batch of episode has been published.

It reads: "After a thrilling cliffhanger which saw the new Mirror Master victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris."

"With help from the rest of Team Flash – which includes Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, Ralph Dibny and Nash Wells, as well as the Flash's adoptive father Joe West, meta-attorney Cecile Horton, tough cub reporter Allegra Garcia and brilliant tech-nerd Chester P Runk – Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Master."

It continues: "But in doing so, he'll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team – and his marriage – apart."

The CW, which usually launches new seasons of its fall lineup in September and October, is postponing its 2020-21 TV season launch to January.

During a call with reporters on Thursday, network president Mark Pedowitz said “certainty is a hard thing to [have] in this world” and he doesn’t know when production on CW shows will be able to start up again.

The Flash airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW in the US. Sky One and NOW TV air the show in the UK.
