The Masked Singer judges are stunned as three mystery stars are unmasked in lockdown special

The Masked Singer's judges Davina McCall and Jonathan Ross were left stunned alongside host Joel Dommett as three mystery stars were unveiled in the lockdown special.

Joel, who hosted the show from his home, presented the one off edition as part of his Home Alone show on ITV2 on Sunday night.

The one-off special, which is a spin off of The Masked Singer after it’s roaring success on ITV earlier this year, saw three new celebrities sing behind digital masks.

Judges Davina, 52, and Jonathan, 59, were tasked with identifying which famous faces were behind the teddy bear, robot and smiley face disguises in the one-off episode.

The teddy kicked off the show with a rendition of Tom Jones’ Sexbomb, which the two described as “sexy”.

And, their experience on the first series of the celebrity talent competition clearly came in handy as Davina, who recently opened up to OK! about her anxiety during lockdown, correctly guessed the man behind the mask was presenter Ore Oduba.

But, Jonathan suggested it could be JLS star Marvin Humes, who recently gushed over having a baby boy with his wife Rochelle.

Next up was the mystery star with the smiley face disguise, who belted out Bob Marley’s Girl I Want To Make You Sweat.

Despite Arg’s musical experience, the performance didn’t appear to blow the judges’ socks off as Jonathan joked the mystery singer “wasn’t someone blessed with rhythm”.

Davina got two in the bag as she correctly guessed the star being the digital mask was James Argent while Jonathan suggested it could be comedian and Celebs Go Dating voiceover Rob Beckett.

Finally came a performance from the robot disguise, who gave a rendition of Britney Spears’ Hit Me Baby One More Time.

The performance seemed to throw off both judges as neither guessed the star behind the mask correctly at first as they thought it could be Phillip Schofield or Jason Donovan.

But, after some deliberation, Jonathan settled on Cheseney Hawkes while Davina guessed it was Ian H Watkins from Steps.

As each of the celebrities were unmasked, Davina, Jonathan and Joel were stunned as the mystery guests were unveiled as Ore Oduba as the teddy bear, James Argent as the smiley face and Chesney Hawkes as the robot – who was declared the winner of the one off show.

The spin-off comes after the first series of The Masked Singer was a hit with the UK audience, drawing in an average of 5.5million viewers per episode.

The first series saw former Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts declared the winner after her disguise as the Queen Bee was voted the favourite by the judges and audience throughout the series.
