This Morning sparks outrage as they cook a SQUIRREL live on TV | The Sun

THIS Morning sparked outrage today as they served up a risotto made from squirrel.

Phil Vickery revealed he would be whipping up the meal with the grey animal after a wildlife group announced that they needed to be “culled” and added to menus.

But Holly Willoughby was horrified by the idea and refused to tuck in.

Phillip however was eager to give it a go but admitted it was a bit “chewy”.

Those watching at home couldn’t believe what they were seeing and rushed to comment on it.

One person raged: “Squirrel Risotto?? Evil This Morning reaching a new low.”

A second said: “#Thismorning Really .. squirrel .. I won’t be watching, what’s next cat ?? Shameful.”

While a third moaned: “#ThisMorning cheerfully discussing culling squirrels and murdering all cats. Nice. Humans are evil.”

The Exmoor Squirrel Project, Devon, estimates there are 120,000 reds in the UK compared with three million greys.

The wildlife project wants landowners to set live traps for the greys and more restaurants to put them on the menu.
