Viewpoint on ITV follows the story of DC Martin Young (played by Noel Clarke), a surveillance police officer who has set up his post in the flat of single-mum Zoe Sterling (Alexandra Roach). Who is Amy Wren?

Amy Wren portrays Gemma Hillman in Viewpoint on ITV, whose disappearance is the centre of an ongoing police investigation.

In the drama, Martin Young is watching the flat of Gemma’s boyfriend Greg Sullivan (Fehinti Balogun), who is the prime suspect in Gemma’s disappearance.

Wren is an English actress from Leicestershire, England and began her acting career with the National Youth Theatre.

Her first major role was in Disney’s Life Bites as Chloe, starring alongside Jeremy Irvine, Naomi Scott and Lucien Laviscount.

Wren then appeared in several Nickelodeon show’s including Genie in the House and Summer in Transylvania.

In 2010, her first major film role was in Andrea Arnold’s film adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel Wuthering Heights.

In Wuthering Heights she portrayed Frances Earnshaw, starring alongside Kaya Scodelario and James Northcote.

Viewpoint fans will most likely recognise Wren from her role as Lady Evelyn Herbert in Tutankhamun.

In Tutankhamun, Wren appeared opposite Max Irons and Sam Neill.

Wren is also well known for portraying Mildrith in Netflix’s The Last Kingdom.

Most recently, Wren appeared in the miniseries Little Women as Sallie Gardiner.

Her other well-known credits include Bethany in Silk and Jane in Skins.

Black Mirrors Alexandra Roach takes on the role of a single mother and voyeur, Zoe Sterling.

What is Viewpoint about?

The five-part series follows the case of police officer DC Martin Young, who sets up an observation post in the Manceschster home of a single mother, Zoe Sterling.

Zoe’s living room windows grant police a direct view into the missing primary school teacher, Gemma Hillman.

The official ITV synopsis reads: “Based on an idea by Fleabag and Emmy award-winning director, Harry Bradbeer (Killing Eve, No Offence) and co-created and written by Edgar award-winner Ed Whitmore (Safe House, Manhunt).

“the gripping five-part drama follows a tense police surveillance investigation into a tight-knit Manchester community and explores whether it is ever possible to observe the lives of others with true objectivity and zero effect.”

Viewpoint airs every night this week at 9pm on ITV
