What is wrong with Honey in EastEnders?

It looks set to be an eventful week for Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), as she will confront Adam Bateman (Stephen Rahman-Hughes) over his infidelity.

Honey finds out that Adam has lied to Iqra to cover his tracks, after he backs out of plans with Honey.

While Honey has maintained a facade that everything is okay, she has been aware of Adam’s cheating for a long time.

However, when she first confronted Habiba about it last month, her behaviour roused fear in viewers that she could be struggling with an eating disorder.

After his wandering eye plunged her into a crisis of self confidence, she left her meal halfway through and was seen anxiously brushing her teeth, after excusing herself to go to the bathroom.

There is no doubt that Honey is struggling with self-image problems having previously compared herself to Habiba, saying: ‘when you’ve had as many knocks as I’ve had, looking in the mirror simply isn’t important anymore.’

Users have been tweeting about her worrying behaviour around food.

One user wrote: ‘Does Honey actually have an eating disorder? She’s been tricky around food these last few weeks. ?#EastEnders’

Others users urged her to eat.

EastEnders continues tonight, Friday 29 November, at 8:30pm on BBC One.
