All flights out of LaGuardia Airport suspended due to snowstorm

All flights out of LaGuardia Airport were suspended Monday morning amid massive snowfall across the New York region.

“All flight activity at #LGA has been suspended due to current weather conditions,” airport officials posted on Twitter.

“Airline carriers at #LGA have canceled all commercial flights for today.”

New York City and Long Island saw snow accumulations pick up to a pace of two inches per hour Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Nearby John F. Kennedy Airport remained open as of 10:45 a.m. — though 83 percent of scheduled flights have been cancelled, airport officials said.
