Boy, 16, is rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight with a ‘Rambo’ knife on north London road lined with £1m houses

  • Ambulance was called at 4pm this afternoon to stabbing in Broadlands Close 
  • 16-year-old boy was treated on the scene before being taken to hospital  
  • No arrests have been made and police have launched an investigation  

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed with a ‘Rambo’ knife and rushed to hospital in broad daylight this afternoon in leafy Highgate. 

An ambulance was called at 4pm today to reports of a stabbing in Broadlands Close in Highgate, north London.  

The teenager was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital and his current condition is unknown.

No arrests have been made and police have launched an investigation. Particular focus is being paid to a suspicious black Mercedes on the road which was seen with flashing hazard lights (pictured)

No arrests have been made and police have launched an investigation. Particular focus is being paid to a suspicious black Mercedes on the road which was seen with flashing hazard lights.  

A large ‘Rambo’ knife was found on the street, which is in an area popular with celebrities and footballers and where homes cost more than £1million. 

A crime scene has been put in place in the area. 

A police spokesman said: ‘Police were called to Broadlands Close, N6, shortly after 4pm by London Ambulance Service to reports of a stabbing Officers attended. 

No arrests have been made and police have launched an investigation

‘A male, believed to be 16 years old, was found with stab injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. 

‘We await an update on his condition. A crime scene has been put in place. 

‘At this early stage, there have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.’
