Dems 'need to demand Biden take cognitive test,' ex-White House doc says noting 'there’s something concerning going on'

DEMOCRATS "need to demand Joe Biden take a cognitive test," ex-White House doctor Ronny Jackson said on Saturday.

Donald Trump's former physician Jackson said the current president is "not aging gracefully," adding: "You can go back – there’s forty years of tape of this man – he’s always made gaffes and stuff but these are different, he’s confused, he’s disoriented."

Texas Rep Jackson told Fox News on Saturday: "I think he’s demonstrating every single day that there is something going on.

"You don’t need to be a physician to look at this behavior and see there’s something concerning happening."

Biden is facing increasing pressure to take a cognitive test with a number of Republicans claiming he is unfit to be president.

Jackson – one of 14 Republican lawmakers who has signed a letter calling for the 78-year-old Democrat to take a mental exam – added: "He’s just not aging gracefully at this point."

Jackson noted: "The far left and the mainstream media were demanding that be the new standard for anybody who’s going to lead our country and be our Commander-in-Chief and our head of state."

"I’m just saying I agree with them at this point – we need to get it done."

Biden said that he intends to take a medical examination this year and the results will be disclosed to the public.

Trump has continued to call Biden's capacity to serve into question, saying "he's getting worse" and Jackson on Saturday said the president appears "confused."

Congressman Jackson said: "We all know people who are 100 years old, who basically are as sharp as a tack, and we know people who are in their mid-60s that having some cognitive difficulties…and I think he’s on that end of the spectrum.

"I’m just asking them, when you do the physical exam include the cognitive assessment. As far as I’m concerned the standard precedent has been set and they need to follow and do the same."

Russian President Vladimir Putin last month dismissed speculation that Biden has dementia as he said he was "in the know" and "never missed a detail" at their summit in Geneva.

In May, more than 120 retired military generals said Biden’s "mental and physical health can’t be ignored."

Posted by Flag Officers 4 America, the letter calls into question Biden's capacity to serve as president.

The president, who is gaffe-prone, has blundered several times over recent months.

He confused Syria with Libya three times during a press conference at the G7 summit.

Biden told American troops stationed at RAF Mildenhall that he kept forgetting he’s president and referred to the Royal Air Force as the RFA.

In March, he was caught tripping over the steps of Air Force One in an embarrassing blunder.
