Man in his 20s fighting for his life with 'life changing' injuries after being stabbed in Muswell Hill

A MAN in his 20s is fighting for his life after being stabbed in London in the early hours of this morning.

The victim was knifed in Muswell Hill at 1.40 am and rushed to hospital as the capital's bloodbath rages on.

Cops said he is in a "life-threatening and life-changing" condition after being knifed on Fortis Green Avenue.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.

More than 115 people have been murdered in London already in 2019, with dozens of them fatally stabbed.

Earlier this month, promising footballer Baptista Adjei, 15, was fatally knifed in his school uniform on a bus home in Stratford, east London before collapsing outside a McDonalds and dying at 3.49pm.

Five hours after Baptista was killed Clinton Evbota was fatally knifed on the Brandon Estate in Camberwell, South London.

Last week, detectives launched a murder investigation after a fatal fire at a flat in Islington, North London killed 59-year-old Beatrice Yankson.

Police were called at 12:41hrs on Saturday, 26 October following reports of a fire in a flat on Mingard Walk, N7.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called to Fortis Green Avenue N10 at 01:40hrs on Thursday, 30 October to a report of a stabbing.

"The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service where he is in a life-threatening and life-changing condition.

"One man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH is currently in police custody.

"Enquiries continue. Cordons remain in place at the scene."
