Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has declared himself ‘ex-gay’ and ‘sodomy free’ and said he wants to rehabilitate ‘conversion therapy’ as he called transsexuals ‘demonic’ and vowed to ‘devote’ himself to the Catholic Church.
The 36-year-old, who became the poster boy for the alt-right due to his misogynistic, racist and homophobic rants, claimed he is no longer gay and likened homosexuality to ‘addiction’ and ‘being an alcoholic’ three years after he wed his boyfriend in Hawaii.
Yiannopoulos told LifeSite he plans to dedicate the next 10 years to reviving the widely banned practice of conversion therapy that aims to forcibly change an individual’s sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, claiming ‘it does work.’
The British expat, who once endorsed sex between ‘younger boys’ and older men, fanned the flames of anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment once again by hitting out at the ‘Terror of transsexuals’ and saying ‘Trannies are demonic.’

Yiannopoulos told the right-wing website he ‘wasn’t entirely joking’ when he said he ‘became gay’ to annoy his mom and questioned how anyone could be ‘wholly at home in the gay lifestyle.’
‘When I used to kid that I only became gay to torment my mother, I wasn’t entirely joking,’ he said.
‘Of course, I was never wholly at home in the gay lifestyle — Who is? Who could be? — and only leaned heavily into it in public because it drove liberals crazy to see a handsome, charismatic, intelligent gay man riotously celebrating conservative principles.’
The right-wing firebrand likened his former life as a gay man to ‘degeneracy’ and said he felt it was ‘all I deserved.’
‘That’s not to say I didn’t throw myself enthusiastically into degeneracy of all kinds in my private life. I suppose I felt that’s all I deserved,’ he said.
‘I’d love to say it was all an act, and I’ve been straight this whole time, but even I don’t have that kind of commitment to performance art. Talk about method acting.’
Yiannopoulos compared himself to controversial 24 character Jack Bauer, saying everyone has to ‘confront his maker sooner or later.’
‘Four years ago, I gave an interview to America magazine which they declined to print. It’s taken me a long time to live up to the claims I made in that interview, but I am finally doing it.

‘Anyone who’s read me closely over the past decade must surely have seen this coming. I wasn’t shy about dropping hints. In my New York Times-bestselling book Dangerous, I heavily hinted I might be ‘coming out’ as straight in the future,’ he said.
‘And in my recent stream-of-consciousness Telegram feed, I’ve been even more explicit — stomach-churningly so, if the comments under my ‘x days without sodomy’ posts are anything to go by.’
He continued: ‘I’ve always thought of myself as a Jack Bauer sort of figure — the guy who does the hideous, inexcusable things no one else can stomach, without which the Republic will fall.
‘I know that means my name will always be cursed, and I’ll always be a scorned outsider, so the temptation is to throw out any consideration of living well or truthfully. But even Jack Bauer has to confront his maker sooner or later.’
When asked about previous comments he made on right-wing platform Parler about members of the ex-gay Christianity movement CHANGED being ‘saved’ and ‘cured of their sinful urges’, he said he doesn’t see himself in the same way but views his homosexuality as an ‘addiction’.
‘I don’t suppose I’ll ever be brave enough to declare it a thing of the past. I treat it like an addiction. You never stop being an alcoholic,’ he said.

‘As for the CHANGED movement, I guess because they’re Californian they don’t see how funny their website is, or maybe they’re dirty non-doms who think God loves you more the gayer you act, but I was slightly making fun of them with that caption. (Walker Percy was right: Modern man has two choices — Rome or California.)
‘Someone really ought to tell them to use more heterosexual-looking photos on their website.’
The 36-year-old, who once compared feminism to cancer, said his husband John Lewis had been ‘demoted to housemate’ but brushed off any suggestion of heartbreak because he said he showers him in designer goods.
‘The guy I live with has been demoted to housemate, which hasn’t been easy for either of us,’ he said.

‘It helps that I can still just about afford to keep him in Givenchy and a new Porsche every year. Could be worse for him, I guess.’
He added: ‘It feels as though a veil has been lifted in my house — like there’s something more real and honest going on than before.
‘It’s been a gradual uncovering, rather than a dramatic reveal. Maybe that lack of theater or spectacle is a sign the gay impulses truly are receding?’
Despite claiming he is now no longer gay, he said he had ‘slipped once’ in the last 250 days.
It is not clear if he is still legally married to his long-term boyfriend who he wed in fall 2017.
Yiannopoulos went on to announce his latest vocations leading a daily consecration online to St. Joseph and pushing conversion therapy.
‘I hope people will support and pray for me, if for no other reason than they share my delight at the prospect of Milo Yiannopoulos furiously and indignantly railing against homosexuals for sins of the flesh,’ he said.
‘As you might expect, my professional priorities are shifting somewhat, given my new spiritual preoccupations.
‘Over the next decade, I would like to help rehabilitate what the media calls ‘conversion therapy.’ It does work, albeit not for everybody.’
The staunch Donald Trump supporter added that he will keep pushing ‘even more loudly than before’ that abortion is what he calls ‘the pre-eminent moral horror of human history’.
Yiannopoulos also peddled his transphobic views saying ‘trannies are demonic.’
‘In this time of gender madness, devoting myself to the male protector of the infant Jesus is an act of faith in God’s Holy Patriarch, and a rejection of the Terror of transsexuals,’ he spewed.
‘Trannies are demonic: They are the Galli, the castrated priests of Cybele, the Magna mater, whom Augustine saw dancing in the streets of Carthage dressed like women.
‘Don’t even get me started on Drag Queen Story Hour. I only have to see those four words to be overwhelmed by the urge to buy rope.’
Yiannopoulos’ latest hateful comments mark just the latest in a long line of controversies for the Cambridge University dropout.

On pedophilia
In 2017, Yiannopoulos said in an interview that younger boys could find a relationship with an older man quite beneficial and said consent is not ‘black and white.’
‘The whole consent thing is not as black and white as people try and paint it,’ he said.
‘There are certainly people who are capable of giving consent at a younger age. I would certainly consider myself to be one of them, people who are sexually active younger…
‘People are messy and complex, particularly in the homosexual world. Some of those relationships between younger boys and older men, the sort of ‘coming of age’ relationships, the relationships in which those older men help those young boys to discover who they are, and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable rock where they can’t speak to their parents.’
He added: ‘In the gay world, some of the most enriching and incredibly life-affirming and shaping relationships, very often between younger boys and older men, can be hugely positive experiences for those young boys. They can save those young boys from desolation, suicide and drug addiction, all sorts of things, providing they’re consensual.’
His comments cost him a $250,000 book deal, a speaking engagement at the Conservative Political Action Conference and his job as technology editor of conservative website Breitbart.
On women and feminism
While working for right-wing website Breitbart News, where he was hired by Steve Bannon, who went on to become a Trump adviser, Yiannopoulos wrote an article comparing feminism to cancer.
‘Would you rather your child had feminism or cancer?’, the headline read.
Other pieces written by him included: ‘There’s no hiring bias against women in tech, they just suck at interviews’ and ‘Birth control makes women unattractive and crazy.’
On Muslims
In an attack on Muslims, he once said: ‘Their outfits are hilarious. Ridiculous. Is there anything more comically sinister than the sight of a herd of women swathed in black bedsheets?’
In 2019, he called Islam ‘alien’ and ‘barbaric’ in the wake of the worst mass shooting in New Zealand’s modern history when a gunman targeted two mosques in Christchurch in March 2019, killing 51 and injuring 40 more.
Yiannopoulos wrote on social media that attacks like Christchurch happen because ‘the establishment panders to and mollycoddles extremist leftism and barbaric, alien religious cultures.’
Australia’s immigration minister David Coleman responded by denying the right-wing pundit a visa.
Yiannopoulos’ husband John Lewis is reportedly Muslim.
On gay people
In a June 2015 article, Yiannopoulos argued that gay people should go ‘back into the closet’ and used the derogatory slur ‘f*gs’.
‘Gay rights have made us dumber, it’s time to get back in the closet,’ he wrote.
‘I find it depressing that my fellow fags have stopped breeding.’
Harassing black actress Leslie Jones
He was permanently banned from Twitter in 2016 for leading a trolling campaign against black actress Leslie Jones.
Jones announced she was quitting the social media platform after she was subjected to racist abuse and inflammatory comments from his supporters after she starred in the Ghostbusters film reboot.
‘I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie.You can hate the movie but the s*** I got today…wrong,’ she wrote.
Yiannopoulos had accused her of ‘play[ing] the victim.’
‘If at first you don’t succeed (because your work is terrible), play the victim. EVERYONE GETS HATE MAIL FFS,’ Yiannopoulos tweeted.
‘Ghostbusters is doing so badly they’ve deployed @Lesdoggg to play the victim on Twitter. Very sad!’ Yiannopoulos posted.
Jones reported him to Twitter and the platform later banned him permanently.
He called the ban ‘cowardly’ and said Twitter was now a ‘no-go zone for conservatives’.
