A music rep who has worked with big names including Justin Bieber, Drake and Post Malone has revealed that a woman, 34, found dead in the bathtub of his ocean-view suite in Miami Beach was a budding musician he was hoping to sign.

Cops have named David Bolno, 46, a person of interest after Laura Lozano, a 34-year-old musician was found lying face up, unresponsive in the bathroom of his one-bedroom unit in the residential towers of the luxury Setai Hotel on March 30.

Hotel surveillance shows Bolno leaving just after 4.30am that morning and he claims Lozano did not leave with him. Lozano’s body was found close to nine hours later by hotel staff and police say they found an ‘unknown substance’ in various areas of the property.

Bolno told DailyMail.com exclusively that the loss of the 34-year-old is a ‘terrible tragedy’ that he ‘really liked her’ and that he’d been ‘helping her make music’ before she died in the suite – which costs an estimated $2,600-a-night to stay in – but can vary.

In a police case report detailing the events of the night, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, Miami Beach Police Department named Bolno a ‘person of interest’ – the 46-year-old adamantly claims: ‘I wasn’t there when she died.’

Police said they responded to the Setai Ocean Suites, which boast panoramic views of the ocean and cityscape, in connection with an ‘unresponsive woman.’

Prior to their arrival, fire rescue was dispatched in emergency mode.

Johnny Berthold, who according to his linked in works as the Director of Security at Setai, said the ‘front desk contacted room #2805 due to a past checkout time’ but there was no answer to the room’s phone line, the case report reads.

Bolno was then contacted by the front desk via landline and according to police said he has ‘already checked out and needed the female in his room, out of his room.’

Hotel security camera footage revealed that Bolno left just after 4.30am on the morning of March 30. Police said they believe the incident occurred between the hours of 7am March 29 and 1.09pm the next day.

Michael Santa Cruz, went up to the room and when no one answered, entered, did a sweep, and noticed that the bathroom door was slightly ajar. This is where he saw Lozano in the tub appearing lifeless.

Leaving the room immediately, Santa Cruz called for his supervisor Harry Joseph, who attempted CPR before calling fire rescue.

After they arrived Lozano was pronounced dead at about 1.22pm.

Police said when they initially entered the room they noticed an ‘unknown substance in various areas inside the property.’

Not a lot is known about Lozano, except that she was a U.S. citizen and 34. It remains unclear if she was from Miami as an address was not provided within the report.

DailyMail.com spoke to Bolno’s wife, Stacy Pineles, who said she ‘did not have comment for the press at this time.’ Briefly after, Bolno called, noticeably emotional when speaking of the tragic incident.

‘It was a terrible tragedy,’ he recounted.

‘I had vacated the room in the earlier part of the morning so I wasn’t there when they found her.

‘It was really sad, she was someone I really liked, and she was a good person.’
