Prince Harry spent 'little time with Louis' as invites from Kate and Wills 'dried up' amid 'Fab Four rift'

PRINCE Harry spent little time with his youngest nephew Louis after invitations from Kate Middleton and Prince William 'dried up', a new book says.

Reports of Harry's diminishing contact with his brother's son come amid claims of a rift between the so-called 'Fab Four'.

The prince previously lived just a few doors down from the Cambridge family in Kensington Palace – and was a hands-on uncle to George and Charlotte.

However, by the time Louis was born in 2018, the brothers' relationship had become strained.

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the authors of bombshell book Finding Freedom, claim that the men began to keep away from each other after William raised concerns over the speed Harry's relationship with Meghan Markle was progressing.

They wrote: "The brothers went from always making time for each other to barely spending any time together.

"Harry had always loved popping across the grounds of the palace to see Charlotte and George, bringing them gifts that including an electronic SUV for his nephew and a tricycle for Charlotte.

"But those visits came to a hault by that summer of 2017.

"In fact, Harry spent less time with Prince Louis than the others because of the growing tension between him and his brother after the baby's birth.

"The distance came in both directions.

"Harry spent less time going over to see the children, but the invites from William and Kate were the first to dry up."

And the situation went from bad to worse in late 2018, when Meghan and Harry left London and moved into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, it's claimed.

The book claims the relationship between the brothers became frosty when William reportedly told Harry: "Don't feel like you need to rush this.

"Take as much time as you need to get to know this girl."

Harry is said to have taken particular issue with the use of the words "this girl", believing it was "snobbishness".

Another source said he was "p***** off".

The source said: "P***** off that his brother would ask such a thing. Some felt it was an overreaction.

"But then, this totally sums them up as people—William the calm and rational one, and Harry, who can’t help but take things far too personally."

The Finding Freedom authors have claimed "a lot of damage has been done" between the four.

And they claim: "Kate did little to bridge the divide."

But Kate and William hit back at the claims they shunned Meghan, with friends saying they "rolled out the red carpet" for her and Harry.

And it's understood William attempted to heal the rift after Meghan and Harry appeared in an ITV documentary last year.

But a meeting to mend the division failed to take place.

And Meghan and Harry – who now live in LA – are reported to have risked further disharmony this week.

It comes after they allegedly didn't tell the Queen about their big Netflix deal before announcing it.

It has been revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could rake in up to £75million after signing a mega-bucks deal with the streaming platform.

But an insider claimed the commercial deal would be "scrutinised" – particularly as the couple were still paying back the £2.4million for refurbishments to Frogmore Cottage.
