Three-bed semi-detached house up for auction for just £10,000 – but it needs A LOT of work – The Sun

HOUSE-BUYERS could snap up an absolute bargain this Christmas, with a three bedroom house going under the hammer for just £10k.

The semi-detached property in Overseal, Derbyshire is described by auctioneers as "a rural family home with development potential" – and they really do mean it as the home needs a lot of work.

However, Bonde Wolfe Auctions predicts "strong bidding," adding that it's a great blank canvas for anyone wishing to develop the property – or even bulldoze it and build anew.

Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe Auctions, said: "This semi-detached property lies in a great countryside location and could be one of the bargain finds of the year for the right buyer.

"It obviously either needs some care and attention to restore its fortunes as a lovely place to live in, or it could be suitable as a potential development investment, subject to planning permission.

"Bidders are also likely to be attracted by the fact that the popular Conkers outdoor pursuits centre is less than one-and-a-half miles away.

"This is a great little lot that will catch the eye of potential owners with either its original use or a completely new life in mind, and we expect some strong bidding."
