I'm A Celeb star Grace Dent breaks silence over slamming the show as 'televised constipation' as she lands in Australia | The Sun
I'M A Celebrity star Grace Dent has broken her silence after slamming the show as she landed in Australia’s Gold Coast ahead of her stint in the jungle.
The TV food critic, 50, was speaking fresh from facing an aeroplane dinner when she arrived at Brisbane Airport.
It comes after Grace branded the ITV series “a puerile venture into starvation, televised constipation and animal cruelty, abbreviated by ads for Iceland £1 curries".
Despite being critical of the show, she said she has always been a fan of the jungle progamme.
She said: "I mean I've made jokes about everything because that's what I do.
"Like Big Brother, and soap, I always did that from the place of someone that really loved them, and really watched them.

"I think the quote you're talking about from 2011, was about a piece about how much I love the show, [IAC] right? Because my parents loved the show.
"Yeah. And they watched it, it was their favourite show ever."
The chef said she has also been dining at luxury restaurants eating five course meals ahead of jungle life.
She told The Sun after landing: "My flight was amazing, I feel very well rested. I've eaten very well. I've been stocking up on a delicious tastes because I'm wondering when I'm gonna taste them again.

"I think it's going to be a real challenge. For the last week I've been eating in the most wonderful restaurants in London, you know, five course dinners, all the wonderful foods that London offers.
"So, I think it's maybe gonna be a bit of a shock to my system, but it's gonna be okay. It's okay, I eat well all the time – I could do with a change of diet."
It seems Grace has had second thoughts about the show and is now set to appear in the jungle herself.
An insider told The Sun: “Masterchef fans know Grace for her withering put-downs of contestants’ food and disdain for anything less than stellar cooking.
“But she’ll be eating humble pie in the jungle, surviving on rice and beans and taking part in Bushtucker trials.”
