Atlanta-area police have issued a felony arrest warrant for Offset after the Migos rapper allegedly damaged a fan’s iPhone.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is being charged with second degree criminal damage to property. The charge is considered felony because the damage to the victim’s smartphone is valued at $800, Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worsham told USA TODAY.
In a video shared by local news reporter Mike Petchenik, a fan attempts to take a selfie video with Offset at a Target. The rapper winds up to hit the phone before the video cuts out. Petchenik later shared a photo of the cracked iPhone.
USA TODAY has reached out to Offset’s representative for comment.
