Mac Miller death – Third man arrested on drugs charges over rapper’s overdose as star’s texts to his dealer are uncovered – The Sun
A THIRD man has been arrested on drugs charges over the death of rapper Mac Miller.
Mac, who had a two-year-old relationship with Ariana Grande, died from an accidental overdose aged 26 on September 7 last year.
TMZ reports that Stephen ‘Stevie’ Walter was arrested in LA on Monday – more than a year after the death of the star, whose full name is Malcolm James McCormick.
Court docs allege Walter was contacted by Cameron James Pettit on the night of September 4, 2018 asking for "10 blues" – which is slang for Percocet pills.
Newly-published text messages show Mac had asked Pettit to be given "percs", a prescribed painkiller containing oxycodone, according to prosecutors.
Instead he was allegedly given a deadly concoction of Xanax, cocaine and fentanyl – a synthetic opioid 50 times stronger than heroin.
In the text conversation, Mac appears to ask Pettit if he has any “addy” – slang for the ‘study drug’ Adderall.
When Pettit says he couldn’t find any, Mac appears to ask if he has any “lean” –a street term for prescription cough syrup infused with painkiller codeine and promethazine.
Mac then also asks him for “percs”.
Pettit, 28, has since been charged with selling Miller drugs before his death and he faces 20 years in prison.
After the text conversation, Pettit then allegedly contacted Walter to obtain the ten blues.
Walter allegedly sent a runner to Pettit with the pills.
Pettit then delivered them to Mac at about 2.20am on September 5 – the rapper was found dead on September 7.
The runner was allegedly Ryan Reavis who was arrested earlier this week in Lake Havasu in connection to Mac's death.
He was also charged with two weapons offences.
'LACED WITH FENTANYL'
A male friend is understood to have made the emergency call from Mac's home.
Audio from the emergency dispatch reveals they were called for a patient in cardiac arrest.
Ariana and Mac had dated for nearly two years and following their split said they would remain "the closest of friends".
She led a heartbreaking tribute to the tragic star at Coachella music festival this year.
After their breakup, Ariana said: "I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be.
"I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years.
"Of course I didn't share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was."
Ariana first met Mac when they recorded The Way together in 2013, and the pop star admitted last year she had had feelings for him for a long time before they got together romantically.
She said: "We have loved and adored and respected each other since the beginning, since before we even met, just because we were fans of each other's talent."
