Joshua vs Ruiz Jr II tickets go on sale with VIP packages available for £10,600 in booze-free Saudi Arabia – The Sun

TICKETS have gone on sale for Anthony Joshua's shot at redemption in his rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr.

The fight will take place on December 7 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia – and there are options to watch it in VIP style out in the desert.

For around £10,600 boxing fans will get a real five-star service for Clash of the Dunes including a chaffeur service and private entrances – but there won't be any alcohol on offer.

Booze is banned in the Middle Eastern country so the action will be seen through sober eyes at the 15,000-capacity custom-built arena.

The cheaper seats will still set you back around £105 on a night when AJ attempts to claim his belts back.

Back in June in New York, Joshua was floored three times on his US debut on the way to a shattering seventh-round stoppage defeat by the unfancied Mexican.

Now the boxing circus has moved to Saudi Arabia in what both boxers will be hoping can be a similarly explosive encounter.

Speaking about the rematch, promoter Eddie Hearn said: “This is the biggest boxing match on the planet, and it will be taking place in one of the most unique venues ever.

“We already know there is a great passion for boxing in the Kingdom, but AJ and Andy will want their fans to come and support them, from across the region and from the UK and the US and Mexico.

“It’s great news that these tourism visas have been launched, that’s a big step forward for the country and it means that boxing fans wherever they are can come witness an unmissable night.

"This fight will go down in history as one of the greats.”

Fight fans will also have to remember to apply for a visa for the event, with Visit Saudi saying it can take as little as seven minutes to be accepted for this on their website.

AJ, 29, will more than likely head into the fight as the favourite despite his crushing defeat back in June.

And Ruiz Jr, who has changed up his diet, has warned the Brit that he will be "lighter, faster and more powerful" for their rematch.

Speaking to ESPN Deportes, Ruiz, 30, said: "I have a lot of respect for Anthony, outside the ring he is a very good man.

"But inside [the ring] there are no friends, there is no respect or anything.

"It will not be an easy fight. I think it will be a hard fight, but nothing is easy in life, so we are training very hard. We will be prepared for whatever he bring.

"I will arrive in better condition…. lighter, faster and more powerful. They will believe that in December they will win.

"People will always talk like this, but I have faith that we're going to win and shut up more mouths."
