The Queen looked delighted to be holding a reception at Buckingham palace today – as she met her guests, which included Sir Trevor McDonald.
The Monach, 93, looked glamorous in a light blue dress with flowers adorning it, as she greeted her guests at the reception to mark The Queen’s Trust charity.
The royal looked in good spirits as she spoke with the chairman of charity, Sir Alan Reid and also a trustee, broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald.
The Queen’s trust champions, funds and connects young leaders who are working hard to change the world. While today’s reception marks the work of the staff and trustees of the charity.

The Queen matched her outfit with three strings of pearls round her neck, a black handbag and black shoes.
While she also wore a pretty pearl brooch, which had diamonds encrusted around it and pearl earrings to finish off her look.
Broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald, who has attended events for the charity, shook hands with the Queen and seemed to share a joke with the royal as they spoke.
Later on she seemed to be having in depth conversations with other trustees and staff from The Queen’s Trust charity.

Today’s reception, held at Buckingham palace, marks the work of the staff and trustees of the charity
Yesterday it was revealed that the Queen is looking for a new butler for Buckingham Palace – but they will get paid less than the living wage.
The servant will get a salary of just £20,806-a-year for working seven days a week – which works out at £1,733-a-month, or £403-a-week.
But they will be expected to work a 45 hour week meaning the hourly rate is £8.96. The living wage in the capital – the rate which is high enough to maintain a normal standard of living – is £10.55.
Applicants for the role don’t need to have any hospitality experience. The trainee butler will be expecting to look after guests to the royal residence from small functions to state banquets.
