Morrisons is selling a spicy pizza with ghost chilli sauce that's 200x hotter than jalapenos

MORRISONS is selling a Halloween “trick or treat” style pizza with some slices packed with ghost chillies.

The spicy snack has ghost pepper sauce hidden in random slices, so customers won’t know if they’ve picked up a fiery piece until it’s too late.

The ghost chilli has been dubbed the third hottest chilli in the world, notching up 1,041,427 units on the Scoville heat scale, and is 200 times hotter than a jalapeño pepper.

It comes only behind the Carolina Reaper chilli, which packs a heat rating of 1,569,300, and the Trinidad Scorpion pepper, on 1,463,700.

Pizza fans who get a spicy slice will also be hit by concealed Scotch bonnet chillies, which measure between 10,000 to 350,000 heat units.

All slices are covered with jalapeño pepperoni, spicy chicken and cheese.

The Halloween trick or treat pizza is available now until November 10 from Morrisons' pizza counters nationwide.

It comes in one size only, 10 inches, and is priced at £3 or two for £5 (making it £2.50 each).

Sadly we can't see the Halloween trick or treat pizza available to buy online so you'll need to pop in store to get your hands on one.

Morrisons has almost 500 shops in the UK and you can find your nearest one by using its online store locator.

But do make sure your nearest branch has a pizza counter so you're not left disappointed.

We've asked the supermarket how many slices contain the ghost chilli, as well as information regarding calories, and we'll update this article when we know more.

Morrisons isn't the only grocer spicing things up for Halloween.

Iceland has just released a spicy chicken pizza made with cayenne pepper and green and red jalapeño chillies.

This pizza is priced at £1.59 so it works out as almost half the price of Morrisons' version but with less of a chilli kick.

The cayenne pepper typically ranks between 30,000 and 50,000 units on the Scoville scale.

In case you missed it, Morrisons is also selling spicy "Hellfire" sausages with three of the world’s hottest chillies.

Last July, Morrisons launched the "world's hottest cheese" infused with chilli 300 times hotter than a jalapeño.

But if you're already looking forward to Christmas, B&M is selling a hot chilli sauce advent calendar.
