The goodbye left many fans wondering just what will means for the partners when the fifth and final series returns next year.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the stars of the show dropped some hints about their future.
Actor Lauren German said: “Season five picks up… Chloe is heartbroken but she’s trying to almost play it cool more or less with Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt).
“They’re going out, drinking a lot, they are dancing. But also, Maze is helping her as a bounty hunter at the LAPD.
“Chloe has no idea where Lucifer is. She’s heartbroken but has no idea how to show it.”
The actor revealed to the publication that she is also not hopeful her partner in crime will be returning any time soon.

“She’s trying to drink her sorrows away and do her job and pound the booze to forget with Maze – and that is where season five picks up.”
Some fans have wondered whether this means the beloved detective will be moving on from the Devil in the new outing.
