Oscar and Felix are The Odd Couple.

Oscar and Felix don't have much in common. Oscar likes cards, sport and leftovers, while Felix enjoys clean air, cooking and polished surfaces. Their friendship is tested when Oscar invites Felix, who's in the midst of a divorce, to share his New York apartment. The Latin American Film Festival is screening more than a dozen films from across Central and South America. Catch The Heiresses, a Paraguayan movie about two women in a 30-year relationship whose inherited wealth evaporates and leads Chiquita to be imprisoned for fraud and forces Chela to confront a new reality. Or there's Old Friends, a Peruvian comedy about three old men who reunite at a funeral and steal their friend's ashes. Dance

Expect contemporary acts full of artistic risks at Eveleigh.

Meet the new breed of Australian dance creators at the Sydney Dance Company’s sixth edition of New Breed. The performance showcases emerging talent by commissioning Australia’s most innovative new choreographers to create a rich diversity of ideas. The show, co-presented by Sydney Dance Company and Carriageworks with support from the Balnaves Foundation, is a chance for up-and-coming choreographers to prove themselves on the big stage. The performance coincides with the SDC’s 50th anniversary and promises contemporary acts full of artistic risks. This year’s choreographers include Josh Mu, Lauren Langlols, Ariella Casu and Davide Di Giovanni.

Fast fingers: Hungarian pianist Peter Bence is set to wow his Sydney audience.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Peter Bence has some of the fastest fingers on the planet, having once held the Guinness world record for most key hits in one minute. The Hungarian pianist and composer has built a massive following on YouTube and performed in more than 20 countries. Described as the Usain Bolt of the keyboard, Bence returns to Sydney to thrill audiences with his rare talent in a one-night only performance. At the end of World War I, the Weimar Republic was founded in Germany. After four years of fighting and destruction during the Great War, the country's creatives re-emerged. Street theatre and jazz thrived and the Bauhaus movement was born. To mark the 100-year anniversary since the Weimar Republic was founded, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music are teaming up to celebrate the era's creativity.
