Stoke, Leeds and Man City in top five as Government releases footy arrest figures for last season – The Sun
STOKE CITY supporters were arrested more than any other fans across England and Wales last season.
The Home Office released shocking statistics in September to show the worst offenders – with Manchester City and Leeds fans in the top five.
In total, 1381 football-related arrests were made during the 2018/19 campaign.
Stoke saw their fans arrested 80 times last season – but just six per cent of those occurred at the bet365 Stadium.
The majority of the supporters – 33 to be precise – left in handcuffs for throwing missiles.
Mame Biram Diouf claimed earlier this year that he was considering leaving the club because the fans "are the worst".
Leeds are second in line with 49 arrests including 15 for fans invading the pitch.
Punches were thrown as Leeds and Barnsley fans brawled at the Oakwell Stadium last week – with one hooligan ending his afternoon in a headlock.
