Sarah Ferguson Just Compared Her Struggles to Meghan Markle's

While the royal family’s actions and relationships may drum up a ton of conversation outside their palaces, they rarely talk about each other in an effort to avoid feeding into any tabloid stories. That said, Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife who is still very close and lives with him, is not such a person and just gave an interview to Vogue Arabia comparing her struggles in the spotlight to that of Meghan Markle.

In the Q&A, Vogue didn’t specify what they meant when they told Sarah they think there are parallels between her and Meghan’s lives, so the subject matter is slightly up for interpretation. It’s no secret that Sarah’s been through her fair share of drama with all the infidelity rumors that plagued her marriage with Prince Andrew and how she reportedly tried to clear a debt by “making a deal with newspaper reporters.” But the fact that Sarah compared herself and the struggles she faced while in the royal family to Meghan’s is quite laughable.

And while Sarah thinks she has “been in Meghan’s shoes” and still is in her metaphorical shoes, she also wondered, “Why can’t Meghan be great? Why can’t she be celebrated?” totally ignoring the fact that Meghan has faced an unprecedented amount of hatred and racist attacks from the media and public since she started dating Prince Harry.

Oh, and Sarah also gave this interview after Princess Beatrice had to cancel her engagement party amid all the allegations against Prince Andrew and his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. All Sarah had to say about the situation was, “It’s incredibly difficult.” Vogue described that bit as “blunt honesty that makes her thoroughly endearing; she has nothing to hide.” Interesting.
