Is Real Madrid vs Atletico on TV? Channel, live stream, kick-off time and team news for Madrid derby – The Sun

IT'S derby day in Spain as Atletico make the short journey across Madrid to the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid sit top of La Liga and lead their cross-town rivals by ten points going into this one, with Barcelona reading to pounce if Zinedine Zidane's side slip up.

  • Kick off at 3pm UK time from Estadio Santiago Bernabeu
  • Unfortunately broadcast restrictions do not allow game to be shown live in UK
  • CHEEKY live stream from Real Madrid as the players warm up on the Bernabeu pitch.

Atletico haven't scored in their last two league games while also losing to minnows Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey.

They play in the third tier of the Spanish league pyramid.

  • TEAM NEWS Atletico Madrid –New signing Carrasco makes the bench but there's starts for Morata and Vitolo in attack.

Record signing Joao Felix misses out through injury.

  • TEAM NEWS Real Madrid – No Hazard or Bale but there's a space for Isco making just his eighth league start.

Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Jr finds himself on the bench.

  • REAL MADRID host neighbours Atletico in what is hopefully a cracking contest at the Bernabeu this afternoon.

Zinedine Zidane's Los Blancos head into the fixture top of LaLiga and on the back of three straight league wins.

Atletico, who have struggled for goals this campaign, sit in fifth and ten points adrift of the top.

They have only scored a measly 22 goals in 21 league contests this season but the Deadline Day arrival of Yannick Carrasco will help bolster their strikeforce.

Carrasco, 26, spent three years with the Spanish side before leaving for Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang and will be thrown straight into the squad for today's contest.

It was a quiet window for Real Madrid except for the arrival of Brazilian talent Reinier.

The 18-year-old, who signed for £27million, won't be seen in the first-team for a while having teamed up for the Castilla side.

In other team news, Atletico's Kieran Trippier will miss out having failed to recover from a groin injury while Thomas Lemar is back in contention to start.

Simeone will also be without Santiago Arias, Jose Gimenez, Koke, Diego Costa and record signing Joao Felix for the trip.

For the hosts the most notable absence in winger Gareth Bale who has been left out of the squad even though he is not injured.

Eden Hazard is also out with an ankle injury that has seen him sidelined since November and Marco Asensio is also out.

Let's hope that this clash is more exciting than the reserve fixture that ended in a goalless draw.

In fact, three of their last six league contests have ended in 0-0 draws.
