Kyle Van Noy’s Joe Judge love sparks free-agency buzz: ‘Go Giants’

Could a familiar face from New England soon be joining Joe Judge in East Rutherford?

During a recent appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy praised the new Giants coach, calling him a “ball of energy.”

“If he can take the energy he has and consistently, each and every day, line it up with that positive energy and not go, ‘Woo woo,’ all over the place, I think they’re going to be really, really good because he’s a really good coach. He loves football,” Van Noy said, according to Giants Wire.

Van Noy and Judge worked together for the past four seasons in New England, where Judge served as the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach. With Van Noy expected to hit the market in free agency next month, the 28-year-old dropped two curious words at the end of the exchange.

“Go Giants!” Van Noy exclaimed.

The Giants will have around $61 million in cap space this year, according to Spotrac.

Van Noy, who is coming off a two-year, $11.75 million extension with the Patriots, said his offseason priority is to get paid. He is coming off a career-high 6.5 sacks last season, and linebacker is one of many positions of need for the Giants.

“Everything’s on the table,” Van Noy said in December. “I’m looking obviously to get paid a lot. I’ll just leave it at that. I’m blessed in so many ways and I’m excited to play for the Patriots and excited to play with my teammates.”
