Nick Cordero’s Wife Pokes Fun at the One-Year Apart Hospitalization of Both Men in Her Life
On the eve of their son Elvis’ first birthday, Amanda Kloots reminisces the time her little boy has to be admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit because of complications.
AceShowbiz –Nick Cordero‘s wife has joked about having to stay on her toes with her actor husband and their son after each spending time in hospital one year apart.
The Broadway star has been under doctors’ care since March, as he continues to face health complications following a brutal coronavirus battle, which cost him his leg and required him to be fitted with a temporary pacemaker, all while he was in a medically-induced coma.
The “Rock of Ages” actor remains in the intensive care unit in a Los Angeles hospital, where Amanda Kloots has been by his side, and on the eve of their son Elvis’ first birthday on Wednesday (June 10), the fitness instructor reminisced about the birth of their first child, calling it the “best day” of her life.
However, Kloots recalled the complications they encountered during and after his delivery, which resulted in Elvis having to be admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.
Sharing photos of Cordero visiting their son at the time, Kloots wrote on Instagram, “When Elvis was born they rushed him right to the NICU because there was fluid in his lungs. He stayed there for two nights and Nick and I visited him all day.”
“We couldn’t stop staring at him and eventually holding him. The NICU nurses are INCREDIBLE! It is amazing to witness what they do.”
She then quipped, “My two Cordero men: last June Elvis is in the NICU. This June Nick is in the ICU. These guys are really trying to take me down.”
Hours earlier, Kloots had admitted Elvis’ birthday would be an emotionally tough day for her as she was heartbroken her husband could not join them, and on Wednesday, she gave fans a glimpse at the simple family celebrations, and wrote, “Elvis is 1…!! Since I was a little girl the only job I ever wanted was to be a mom. Every month with him has been so wonderful watching him grow and change and become my little man! Nick would always look at him and say, ‘we are so blessed!’ “
“Happy Birthday to my little baby boy.”
