Ex-Google exec Eric Schmidt back ‘on’ with junior girlfriend
Still-married former Google big Eric Schmidt has been spending time with his on-again-off-again gal pal, Alexandra Duisberg, again.
The pair were rumored to be engaged last July: We exclusively reported the 30-something blonde was spotted wearing a pink sapphire ring, estimated to be 10 carats and worth millions. A source close to the couple at the time insisted it was “a friendship ring.”
Page Six reported the pair split by August, but we’re told they began spending more time together in January and “stayed together in Miami for part of the quarantine,” said a source. “But Eric has still been traveling with work related to COVID things. He’s been very active with a lot of causes.”
While we hear that Duisberg has been telling friends that they’ll be spending the summer together, another source told us there are “no plans.”
Schmidt, 65, is still married to his wife of 40 years, Wendy, and has no plans to divorce. They reportedly have an open marriage. “Alexandra wants a baby and wants Eric to divorce Wendy, but neither is happening,” said a source.
Schmidt’s been linked to p.r. exec Marcy Simon, journalist Kate Bohner, pianist Cho-San Nguyen and socialite Ulla Parker in the past.
