Gogglebox’s Happy Monday’s stars Bez and Shaun lined up for new TV projects after ‘incredible on-screen chemistry’
GOGGLEBOX's Happy Monday stars Bez and Shaun are set to feature in new TV projects together.
TV viewers could be about to see a lot more of Gogglebox stars Bez and Shaun, Sun Online can reveal.
The Happy Mondays duo have won a legion of fans on the celebrity spin-off version of the C4 show.
And now producers are fighting to sign them up for new projects.
A TV insider said: “Shaun and Bez have been a total hit on Gogglebox.
“Producers have been featuring them more and more on the programme because the feedback from viewers has been absolutely amazing.
“They’ve got brilliant on-screen chemistry. Older viewers love them because they tell it like it is and they’ve built up a younger legion of followers who hadn’t heard of them until watching them on Gogglebox.”
Channel Four are thought to be at the front of the queue to work more with the pair – who are also looking to launch a new podcast.
“Channel Four would like to get them on more of their panel shows because they think they would be a ratings hit.”
Shaun and Bez caused a storm on Gogglebox last month after making a string of drug jokes.
The regulator OFCOM received with viewers taking aim at the men’s ongoing jokes about drugs.
When they watched the classic Al Pacino film, Scarface, about a Miami drug lord Shaun and Bez also talked about their experiences with drugs and acquiring them in the heyday of their careers.
“When this film came out the cocaine in the country was absolutely ‘s***’,” Shaun said.
Former Celebrity Big Brother star Bez added: "If it was me and my first deal went like that, I wouldn’t bother again. It goes to show, don’t do business with people you don’t know.”
“This is a classic example of how not to do it.”
The lead singer replied: “Don’t do business with Colombians you don’t know.”
The duo left fans in hysterics once again as Bez admitted he went for a poo in the woods on the way to the supermarket.
The maracas shaking Happy Mondays star, 56, shared the story with bandmate Shaun Ryder while watching a clip from This Morning.
It led Bez to say: "I actually had to pull up in some woods to have a dump a couple of weeks ago."
A stunned Shaun asked: "In the woods?" and when he asked his mate where he was going, Bez said: "To the supermarket."
