Coronation Street’s Sally Ann Matthews slams greedy co-stars who charge fans
Coronation Street actress Sally Ann Matthews is not one to hold her tongue.
The 49-year-old fan favourite took to social media to make a subtle dig at her Coronation Street colleagues who have signed up for the likes of Cameo and Celeb VM to earn a few extra pounds.
Sally, who plays Jenny Connor on the famous soap, often voices her thoughts on Twitter and didn't hold back in conversation with followers.
Dedicated fans of Corrie can purchase personalised videos from cast members including Anthony Cotton, Simon Gregson, Daniel Brocklebank and William Roache on the dedicated sites.
However, Sally reminded fans that they should "never pay" for autographs or video messages from their favourite celebrities.
The Oldham-born actress made light of the situation a signed cast card by her was being flogged on eBay, 18p more expensive than Ian Bartholemew, who plays Geoff Metcalfe.
After one fan replied: "Wonder if they can combine postage. Might have them both," Sally then saw an opportunity to hit out.

Tweeting to her 64,700 followers, she said: "Write to us at Trafford Wharf Road. We do them for free! You should never pay for an autograph (or a video message come to that) x."
One fan added to the conversation, tweeting: "Exactly how it should be. Making cash from birthday messages is another issue for me. Don't get me started!"
Which saw Sally reply: "Oh I hear ya!"
Fans instantly took to the replies section to agree with Sally.
One penned: "Oh this is lovely."
While a second tweeted: "Cheers Sal, that's so kind."
"Ah I'm so relieved to read this, I didn't know you still did them! That's so kind!" penned a third.
Corrie fans can pay a hefty £35 for videos by Corrie legend William Roache, while Ryan Clayton who played Josh Tucker on the soap charges just £19.
