Alex Jones fought back tears on Monday night as she paid tribute to one of her The One Show colleagues.
The 43 year old dedicated the end of the episode of the hit BBC One show to Charlie Mott, who died suddenly over the weekend.
Charlie – whose cause of death is yet to be revealed – was a researcher for the chat show, and had been working on The One Show for two years.
Joined by guest co-host Michael Ball, Alex choked up as she announced the news of her teammate's passing.

She said: "Before we go, we just wanted to pay tribute to one of our colleagues, Charlie Mott, who sadly died at the weekend.
"Everybody on the team is absolutely devastated. He was hugely talented and such good company, we miss him so much.
"Our thoughts are with his family, and we are sending lots of love from all of us here. Goodnight."
Following Alex's tribute, the show's end credits were played in silence as opposed to their cheery theme music.
According to his LinkedIn page, Charlie had graduated from Bournemouth University with a bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism in 2017, taking up work at the BBC during his time at university.
He had been a runner for Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and Watchdog in 2014 before moving to BBC Radio 2 to become a team assistant on Graham Norton, Claudia Winkleman and Elaine Paige's shows.

Charlie had a brief spell away from the BBC to work as a researcher on Channel 5's Hotel Inspector and Discovery's Impossible Engineering before moving into this most recent position at The One Show.
Other members of the show's team took to social media to share their own tributes, with one writing: "There are no words. We love you so much Charlie."
A second member of the team simply wrote: "Will miss you buddy," while a third said: "I've just heard about Charlie Mott and in shocked and deeply saddened.
