    TIME WILL TELL

Manchester United are hopeful Alex Telles will get the green light to face West Brom after he tested negative for coronavirus.

Reports emerged from South America over the weekend that the Brazilian had returned a positive result while on international duty.

However, the Brazilian Football Confederation have now confirmed the defender will travel with the rest of the squad on Tuesday to Uruguay after returning a second negative test.

United had previously said they would ‘make an assessment’ when Telles returned to Carrington.

They released a statement before his negative result was confirmed, which read: “It is still hoped he will be available to play in Saturday’s Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.”

    FANDEMONIUM

Football fans could be allowed back into stadiums as early as NEXT MONTH, according to reports.

Premier League and Football League clubs could welcome supporters back into stadiums in December under plans drawn up by the Government, according to Sportsmail.

The Department of Culture, Media and Sport are said to have submitted proposals which would allow fans in areas where coronavirus infection rates are low to attend games for the first time since March.

While the Government are yet to officially agree to the proposal, the DCMS' involvement is encouraging.

Football fans have long bemoaned not being allowed to re-enter stadiums, while other sports and activities have welcomed back crowds, albeit in limited numbers.

    UNITED ROUND-UP

It's back to the Premier League this weekend as Manchester United welcome West Brom to Old Trafford.

Brazilian star Hulk is currently plying his trade in China and was a target for the Red Devils during the summer window.

But according to OJOGO, the forward prefers a move back to former club Porto.

The hot-shot will leave current club Shangai SIPG after revealing he would not be renewing his contract in China.

Hulk will be able to leave China on a free at the end of the year and claims that clubs all across Europe are interested in signing him and that he was listening to offers.

Speaking to Brazilian outlet Lance, he said: “I am listening to many proposals from Brazil and many places including in Europe. [I have offers from] Turkey, Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, Germany – and I also have an offer from China.”

While United are reportedly still pursuing a move for Dayot Upamecano.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising defenders in Europe and has several heavyweights chasing his signature.

Reports claim Ed Woodward WILL make an approach for the RB Leipzig talent next summer when a £38m release clause in his contract becomes active.
