EastEnders fans baffled as Phil fails to spot Callum in ‘obvious’ hiding place

EastEnders viewers were left in disbelief at the start of Friday's episode as Phil Mitchell failed to spot Callum Highway hiding in The Arches.

Callum has been stuck in a sticky situation after he discovered it was Ian Beale who tipped police off to the robbery involving Ben and Phil Mitchell.

The character been under huge pressure to bring Phil in himself, as his boss DI Steve Thompson is on his case.

Viewers saw Phil come into The Arches as Callum quickly jumped into the car pit to hide.

Phil then spotted the bug nearby, but didn't see Highway, even though his head was sticking out.

One viewer tweeted: "When Phil can see a tiny black transmitter but can't see a bloke stood in his car pit."

While another wrote: "I can't believe that Phil didn't see him."

A third added: "There has to be something wrong with Phil's peripheral vision. Callum was hiding in plain sight…"

"I can't believe Phil still didn’t see Callum hiding",penned another.
