Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page has spoken about the Netflix show’s famously racy scenes, revealing he had to give his family a “heads up” before they aired.

Jimmy asked: “Did you feel like you had to give your family a heads up?”
Laughing, Rege-Jean replied: “Erm, yeah. To be fair, at this point you can’t really faze my family. If you come up through theatre, you see stuff, so they don’t even blink any more.”
However, the Brit star continued to say that he did want to tell them in advance, particularly alerting them to episode five of the show when a lot of the bedroom action takes place.

Recalling what his cousin said to him afterwards, Rege-Jean joked: “She said, ‘and then I’d come back and you were still going, so I’d have to go back and put the kettle back on!’’
Elsewhere in the interview, the star also addressed rumours that he was set to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.
Dashing fans’ hopes, he said: “I think there might be an element of cultural translation to be done here.”
He continued to explain that while he was happy to be in the mix, it was just a story.
“If you’re a Brit and you do something of any kind of renown that people regard well, then people start saying the B word. It’s like a merit badge. You get the B-word merit badge.”
He concluded: “I don’t think it’s much more than that. I’m glad to have the badge, I’m glad to be in such wonderful company of people who have the badge, but it’s a badge.”
