Everyone knows that most weddings don't come cheap, and families often help out with the costs.
However, one bride has been slated for the lengths she went to in order to get her wedding funded.
After realising she had to pay a £10,800 cost for her wedding, the bride pleaded with family members to contribute.
And those who didn't were uninvited – including her brother and her grandmother.
The woman was shamed on Reddit forum Bridezilla/Groomzilla by one of her brother's friends.
He gave the bride and groom fake names of Karen and Matt as he explained what had happened.
The brother's friend wrote: "[The bride] calls her brother 2 days before her wedding.
"Says to him 'I put deposits down for the hall, the photographer, the caterer, the flowers and the DJ. But I didn't know I had to pay in full on my wedding day, I thought I could pay later'."
After her brother said he didn't have any money to offer, a bridesmaid called him later to tell him that the wedding was cancelled.
However, a year later, the brother and other family members who hadn't been able to pay were informed that the wedding actually went ahead without them.
The Reddit user continued: "A year later…Karen posts on her Facebook 'Happy 1 year anniversary. I can't believe it has been a year already. Here are photos from the wedding.'"
They added: "Turns out Karen, called every family member, pumped them for money. When they said no, they were uninvited.
"She had a very small wedding with a good sized party afterwards.
"Her own brother, grandmother and a few aunts were all uninvited. 10 years later she still complains they weren't there for her 'special day'."
The post has since gone viral, racking up hundreds of comments from outraged users.
One wrote: "That's…. impressive. In how awful it is."

As another exclaimed: "Wow! Just wow! At a loss for words!"
A third chimed in: "I'm a little impressed by the gall they had to pull this stunt AND complain people weren't there."
The news comes after a bride-to-be caused controversy by A bride-to-be asking for opinions on her 'super fun' idea of ordering McDonald's, pizza and donuts to be delivered to her wedding venue.
Despite some loving the idea, others branded it 'tacky'.
