Katie Price angered telly viewers after defending her decision to travel to a red list country for non-essential plastic surgery.
The mum of five explained her reasons to Kate Garraway – whose husband Derek Draper, 53, is yet to fully recover since contracting COVID-19 back in March 2020.
Derek has been in hospital in a coma and has been "universally affected" by coronavirus, which means his lungs, heart, kidneys, liver and pancreas have suffered.
Katie told Kate on Friday: "I went to a red country, but at the same time I’m working, I’m doing my YouTube.
“You have to follow the protocol, you can’t be silly, so I knew by going to a red country I’d literally be in a hospital, I wasn’t mixing with anyone else.
"It was literally hospital, then we flew to [an] amber [list] country, stayed in a villa in the middle of the hills away from everyone.”
While Kate remained positive throughout their interview, many GMB viewers hit out at Katie for her attitude.
One shared: "Fair enough Katie Price get what you want done to you it's your own body but come on you went to a red country to get more surgery and you're at next to Kate Garraway who's husband been in hospital was in a coma and is still recovering from Covid.
"Some people #GMB."
"Turned on @GMB for the first time in a while today. Katie Price being interviewed about plastic surgery. Goodbye," another said.
Katie Price had full body liposuction in Turkey and said she wanted to lose the weight she gained after breaking both her feet.
"It’s like a car, you have an MoT, if you get a scratch or a dent on your car, you fix it, and that’s how I feel about my body,” Katie said.
While Katie was busy chatting about her surgery, for Kate her mind was on her husband.
She said: "He's alright, he's alright. He's very up and down, we're certainly not a long way out of the woods."
She explained: "I think the problem is you latch on to the positives, which is good because you have to, but there's absolutely no doubt that there's huge challenges ahead."
