Hollyoaks confirm Leah survived Liberty assault as Summer continues evil revenge
Hollyoaks confirmed Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demerican) is alive during Wednesday's first-look episode.
The young girl was tricked into the woods by her dance teacher Trish Minniver (Denise Welch) so she'd miss the bus to a dance competition in Blackpool.
However, Leah got caught in the crossfire of evil Summer Ranger's (Rhiannon Clements) revenge plot against Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward).
The evil cupcake business owner is holding Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) hostage away from her friends and family and framed Brody for her murder.
However, Liberty is alive and well and saw an opportunity to run for her life in the latest visit to the village.
The young woman took her future in her hands and made a run for it, after discovering that Summer had left the storage facility’s door unlocked.
Hollyoaks fans spot major blunder as sick Summer frames Brody for Liberty's murder
Summer, horrified, gave chase and Liberty sprinted ran like her life.
After a high-speed chase though the woods, Liberty hid behind a tree, but she soon feared the worst, as she heard footsteps approaching.
Refusing to go back, she took hold of a nearby piece of wood, gripping it tightly, as the footsteps became louder.
And with that, she revealed herself to the person she believed to be Summer, before whacking them across the head with the weapon.

Horror, however, set in, as Lib realised that it wasn’t Summer she attacked. It was Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demerican)!
Summer, having heard the noise, arrived to find Leah out-cold on the floor.
Liberty was devastated as she watched a lifeless Leah on the floor and Summer took the opportunity to get her back in the store room.
She told Liberty that Leah was dead and said if she returned to the place she was being held captive that she'd bring her daughter Faith to see her.

However, it was yet another sick trick and Leah was in fact alive.
Yazz and Tom Cunningham found the youngster unconscious on the floor and quickly called an ambulance.
Sid Sumner, who is looking after Leah while her dad Ste is away, was left furious as the hospital-bound schoolgirl told her that Trish advised her to go into the woods alone.
Trish pretended to be sympathetic as Sid raged at the dance teacher.
However, he was lost for words when Trish told him that Ste would probably never trust him against after Leah's attack.
