Proud mum takes identical pictures of her daughter on her first day of school over 10 years

WHILE it might be something many students dread, parents certainly love building up a collection of cheesy school photos.

Particularly this proud mum who has taken an identical snap of her daughter returning to school every year for the past decade.

UK parents recently sent their school-aged kids back to class with savvy students gearing up for a new school year.

But Dagny Barnett, 53, was particularly chuffed, and not just for her daughter Chloë, 14, who is starting her GCSEs as a Year 10 pupil, but because she was able to add to collection of identical school snaps.

You see, the proud mum has taken the exact same photo of her daughterstriking the same pose outside the family home since she started nursery ten years ago.

Dagny takes special pride in her "precious" daughter, who she had after a seven-year ordeal that included seven rounds of IVF.

So it's no surprise she wants to mark each and every school year with a catalogue of pictures documenting Chloë's transformation from a chubby-cheeked youngster to a grown-up teen.

"It's just nice to see the difference each year of how much she's changed, Dagny said.

"The hairstyle and other bits have all changed over the years. She's gone from a very chubby-cheeked nursery child to a grown-up girl."

Dagny, a stay-at-home mum, still has strict rules for how Chloë must poseoutside their house near Redhill, Surrey – side-on, smiling and in school uniform.

The first batch of pictures shows Chloë from the age of four to 11 – from nursery to Year 6 – while the second batch in her red blazer documents her time at secondary school.

Dagny said: "Chloë loves the pictures now she's 14 and doesn't have to go through the stress of mummy screaming 'put your leg forward' or 'put your leg in the right place!'.

"Seeing the old pictures is such a lovely memory of her junior school years."
