Soap star’s can earn a pretty penny.

Whether they’re on the cobbles, the square or the dales, once they finish a long day’s filming chances are they return to an enviable abode and a luxurious lifestyle.

Aside form a hefty monthly pay check, being a soap star can also be a brilliant launchpad for starting a business or being involved in collaborations that build their fortune.

Or just lead to other brilliant acting roles, and advertisements.

With this in mind we take a look at some of the richest stars from our favourite shows…

Jacqueline Jossa

Former Eastenders star Jacqueline is now estimated to be worth around £1.2 million, since leaving her role of Lauren Branning on the hit soap.

The wife of Dan Osborne went on to win I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, which has lead to a whole wealth of opportunities, including several clothing collections with fashion retail giant In The Style.

Alan Halsall

Alan Halsall has a net worth of £1.4million, and he has raked in this amount of money from 22 years starring in Coronation Street.

In fact the star is doing so well that last year he signed a new six figure contract for the show and also treated himself to a £100,000 Mercedes.

Michelle Keegan

Brunette beauty Michelle Keegan has a huge net worth of £2.7 million.

When she played Tina McIntyre on Coronation street, from 2008 to 2014, the wife of Mark Wright was earning an annual salary of £60,000.

Since then the star has been very successful, taking the lead roles in shows such as Our Girl and Ordinary Lies.

She has also worked with companies including Revlon and Lipsy. The latter reportedly paid her £250,000 a year!

Danny Dyer

Danny Dyer has a net worth of £3.9 million.

The best-loved geezer joined the hit soap in 2014, but before that was famous for his roles in fan-favourite films including Mean Machine and Football Factor. The 44 year old actor was recently reported to be quitting EastEnders, and he has reportedly signed up for a new drama series with Sky in a six-figure deal.

The pub landlord actor’s new fee from Sky is alleged to be "significantly less" than his pay cheque from the BBC, but leaving the soap will enable him to pursue more opportunities outside the broadcaster.

As landlord of the Queen Vic, Mic Carter, Danny reportedly took home between £200,000 and £249,000 in 2017.

Steve McFadden

EastEnder’s icon Steve McFadden has a net worth of around £2.7 million.

The famed star plays Phil Mitchell on the hit soap and his annual salary was revealed to be around £360,000.

Aside from playing the popular character, Steve also does club appearances and was paid a whopping £180,000 to be Captain Hook in a pantomime

Jack P. Shepherd

According to Trendcelebsnow.com, Jack P. Shepherd could be worth up to £3.7 million.

He has starred as David Platt on the cobbles since 2000, and his career span has resulted in him earning a whopping £220,000 salary.

It was even revealed that two years ago he received a casual £30,000 bonus. He drives a Maserati.

Derek Thompson

Casualty star Derek Thompson has an estimated net worth of £6 million.

The Irish actor, who plays Charlie Fairhead on the hit medical drama, has been in over 750 episodes since he took the role in 1986. That’s a long stint.

However, his loyalty has definitely been rewarded as in 2017 it was revealed he was paid between £350,000 and £399,000 a year.

Adam Woodyatt

Adam Woodyatt is worth £1.7 million, and is the longest serving cast member on Albert Square, as he joined EastEnders in 1985.

Similarly to Danny Dyer, in 2017 it was revealed that he earned between £200,000 and £249,000 a year.
