Lorraine Kelly sheds 11 pounds on new diet after gaining two dress sizes in lockdown

Lorraine Kelly has proudly revealed she has shed a whopping 11lbs on a new diet plan.

The 62 year old television personality embarked on a health kick with the WW weight loss plan after going from a dress size 10 to a 14 over the pandemic.

And mother-of-one Lorraine couldn't help but beam as she shared an image with her mentor Suzy on Instagram to mark her achievement so far.

"FIVE weeks in and feeling happier and healthier which is what it's all about!", Lorraine wrote in the caption for the post, which also saw her holding up a certificate.

Lorraine went on the report a message from Suzy that read: "This is what success looks like!!!

"Massive well done to @lorrainekellysmith not only have you achieved your half stone but you've lost a whopping ELEVEN pounds!!! Three pounds for a stone! FANTASTIC!!!"

Lorraine's efforts have certainly paid off as she looked glowing in the make-up free images, in which she donned a casual ensemble.

Her followers were also quick to praise her efforts, with one person writing: "You're doing so well – A true inspiration."

Another wrote: "Well done, you awesome do what makes you happy you face is glowing and your eyes are smiling – wishing you all the best Lorraine."

A third added: "Congratulations you look fit and healthy."

Last month, Lorraine spoke openly to us about her weight gain and the "hilarious" moment last November which prompted her to embark on her wellbeing mission.

Lorraine said: "I was talking to the boys from The Wanted on my show and my button pinged off my dress during the interview.

"I nearly took one of their eyes out. It was hilariously funny, and I didn't expose myself or anything like that – those poor young men! But I thought, "I need to get a grip."'

When OK! pointed out she doesn't look any different, the ITV star said: "If you look at me you can tell because I'm wearing different things.

"And I can show you the labels! I'm definitely a size 14, for sure. I wanted to wear my favourite red dress as I was going to a big ITV event. I thought, "Oh, I'll just try this on." No chance!"

She explained that said dress "didn't even go over" her thighs.

"Before the pandemic, I would have got into that and I would have felt good," she revealed. "So I ended up wearing a stretchy black dress, and I looked absolutely fine, but I didn't feel fine."
