Gerwyn Price has given fans a nasty glimpse of the injury which forced him to pull out of an appearance at the Premier League of Darts last week.
The Welshman was due to play on night five of the revamped competition in Brighton last Thursday.
However, despite travelling to the south coast in the hope he would be able to compete, he told the PDC that he would be pulling out of the tournament after injuring his right hand.
Now, Price has taken to social media to show fans the progress he is making on his recovery.
He posted a short video on his Instagram story, which showed him squeezing a ball to help get the blood pumping in his hand.
The swelling is clear to see towards the bottom of his palm close to his wrist, which would have been a huge problem for him while trying to throw a dart.
Alongside the video was the caption: "Still swollen but things getting a little better."
That optimistic update will leave fans hoping that Price will be back in action for Night 6 of the competition, set to take place in Nottingham this coming Thursday.
No update has yet been given regarding whether or not the Welshman will be competing.

His absence from last week was ideal for Joe Cullen, who was given a bye into the semi-final of the tournament.
However, he was comprehensively dispatched by Michael van Gerwen who went on to win and become the first player to win on back-to-back nights in this year's competition.
Meanwhile, the injury may also have affected Price's preparations ahead of his boxing debut next month.
The world number one will fight fellow Welshman Rhys Evans in a charity bout on April 9, where he hopes to trade nailing 180s for landing a knockout blow.
"I was out having a couple of beers in my mate's pub. One of my main sponsors Valley Water – [the boss] owns a pub as well, The Valley Tavern," he said of the fight last week.
"Whenever I go out I just go down there and have a couple of beers.
"They were doing a charity boxing night. There's an ex-boxer [Evans] who lives above the tavern and he's in there all the time.
"I said: 'I'll get in the ring with you,' and didn't think anything of it – a couple of weeks later he kept going on, and now I'm in a charity fight."
