Liverpool head to Paris for Champions League final and get water jet send-off as squad to face Real Madrid is revealed
JURGEN KLOPP and his Liverpool stars took the skies this afternoon in the hope of returning to the north-west with a third trophy of the season.
The Reds were given a water salute before they departed for Paris from Liverpool's John Lennon Airport.
Star forward Mohamed Salah was all-smiles as he boarded the plane for Saturday's "revenge" final.
The Egyptian King wrote on Twitter that he had a "score to settle" with opponents Real Madrid after they beat Liverpool in the 2018 final.
And as the plane taxied towards the runway it was sprayed with water in a ceremonial salute.
In a symbol of good luck the fire and rescue services at the airport created a water arch for the plane to pass through.

Klopp has been boosted by the news that stricken midfielder Fabinho, 28, is expected to return to his side.
The Brazilian was forced off injured in the 2-1 victory against Aston Villa on May 10 and has not featured since.
But today he was spotted boarding the plane to Paris with his team-mates as part of Klopp's travelling squad.
Fabinho had returned to full training earlier this week just in time for the final.

In a double boost for the Reds midfielder Thiago was also part of the travelling party.
The 31-year-old was substituted in Liverpool's final day victory over Wolves with a slight knock.
Both players had been doubts for tomorrow's mouthwatering clash.
Klopp had been hopeful that Thiago would return when speaking on Wednesday ahead of the match.
His inclusion in the travelling squad is the biggest indicator yet that the silky Spanish midfielder will be ready and raring to go in time for kick off.
The Reds just missed out on winning the Premier League and the chance to win a quadruple last weekend as Man City made a miraculous comeback to beat Aston Villa in their final game.
But there's sure to be a spare seat on the plane kept free for the Champions League trophy in the event of the club winning the tournament for a SEVENTH time.
