James Argent shows off 13 stone weight loss as he poses on Bahamas beach in colourful outfit
James Argent cut a trim figure on social media, as he shared a confident snap of himself from his recent trip to the Bahamas.
The 34 year old former TOWIE star, posed in a matching orange and blue tropical print top and shorts as he showed off his 14 stone weight loss over the past year.
The stunning transformation was due to the star undergoing a gastric bypass procedure, with the exotic holiday to the sunny beaches of the Bahamas being Arg’s own reward for his hard work and discipline in transforming his lifestyle.
Sharing a snap on Instagram of himself posing beside white sands and a dreamy blue ocean, he captioned the photo: "I’ve always been Anti Ordinary. Bring on a Carefree Summer.”
Following the post, fans were quick to send their compliments to the star over his new look, with many acknowledging the hard work and long journey it had taken for him to get to this point.
One wrote: "Your weight loss is amazing well b***dy done.” Another said: "Love seeing you so happy."
And a third added: "How Amazing do you look? Fabulous.”
A few famous faces also commented on the snap, including Ferne Mccann who said: "Edgy af" and pal Keith Lemon who added "Nice clobber!"
Arg underwent the life changing procedure last April in the hopes of turning his life around after he was given a stark warning by doctors.
Throughout the entire process, Arg kept his fans updated with his progress, with the star even revealing that doctors were concerned with how much weight he was losing and ordered him to put some back on.
Speaking to the Sun back in February Arg said: "The only problem now is I’ve lost a little bit too much weight and I need to put on half a stone.
“Everyone thinks it’s hilarious, we didn’t think we’d ever be in this situation but it’s one thing or another with me – that’s just me!”
The TOWIE star weighed 27 stone before the surgery, which posed a serious and potentially fatal risk to his life.
However, even with the gastric sleeve fitted, the process was far from easy for Arg, as without food to help him through difficult situations he began to turn to alcohol and drugs, which brought with it its own health risks.
Following a relapse in February 2022, Arg began to seek professional help for his struggles and after attending rehab 6 days a week, is now in a much happier and healthy way – and definitely enjoying his well deserved time in the sun!
