Nottingham Forest offer Brice Samba new contract with "more than double" the money he's on to keep him at City Ground | The Sun

NOTTINGHAM FOREST have offered Brice Samba a new and improved deal in their bid to hold on to their starting goalkeeper.

SunSport understand that Forest have handed Samba a contract with "more than double" his current salary at City Ground.

Nottingham have been trying to convince the keeper to stay after sealing their return to the Premier League following a 23-year exile.

However, the Congolese shot-stopper, who has only one more year left on his current contract, looks keen to return to France during the summer transfer window.

Therefore, the club is upping the ante in their bid to keep the 28-year-old within their ranks.

Samba joined Forest from Ligue 1 outfit Caen in 2019 and quickly established himself as the club's No1.

The keeper has amassed a total of 133 appearances across all competitions during his three-year stint at City Ground.

Samba is a popular figure at the club and has formed a close bond with the city of Nottingham.
