What Prince William and Kate Middleton Have Planned For Prince George's Birthday
In just a few days a future king will be celebrating a birthday and we have all the party details.
Prince George will turn 6 years old on July 22 and his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, are going all out to celebrate their oldest son’s birthday. Here’s what the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have planned for George’s big day, plus why the public won’t have to wait long to see the young royal again.
How Prince George’s birthday is being celebrated
William and Middleton have always said that they want their children to have “normal childhoods” and what better way to do that then have them celebrate with a party just like millions of other kids do.
A royal source told Us Weekly that the prince’s sixth birthday party will take place at Kensington Palace. George’s sister and brother, as well as many of his classmates from Thomas’s Battersea school, will be in attendance. And there will be plenty of entertainment for all the youngsters including a bouncy castle and tricks done by a magician since George is a big fan of magic.
On the menu will be some of the birthday boy’s favorite foods including “pizza, pasta, and sliders,” the source said, adding that the kids will have cupcakes and ice cream for dessert.
While the duchess has done most of the planning, William has also been involved in a bit of it.
George’s mom is no stranger to what goes into planning a party. In fact, before she married Prince William, Middleton worked for her parents’ company called Party Pieces which started out by making party bags and kits for different occasions. It ended up growing substantially and now sells party supplies and decorations by mail order.
When the public will get to see George again
Last week, the public saw a few images of Prince George and his siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, when they attended a polo charity event their father took part in. But we’ll be seeing George again very soon as Kensington Palace is expected to release a new photo of him on his birthday.
This is something that’s been done every year with the Cambridge children to mark their special day. Some of the images taken in the past were by the duchess herself as she is an avid photographer.
Both Prince George and Princess Charlotte are on summer break from school so the family has been spending time at their Amner Hall residence in Norfolk. Hello! noted that the duke and duchess really enjoy their private time there with their kiddos as the area where the country home is located has a no fly-over zone. Most of George’s classmates though live closer to London where his school is which is why the party will be held back at Kensington Palace.
