Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s nightly Instagram live, titled Jungle Club Live, has become a bit more candid than the hosts would have liked this week. Following Boy George’s exit from camp, Ant and Dec took to Instagram with their thoughts on Tuesday’s show.
The pair were devastated that the singer had been voted out, but swiftly moved along to the hot topics in the comment section.
At one point, Dec decided to show the audience their breakfast menu while down under, with Ant questioning who would have coconut rice for breakfast.
While Dec was showing the menu to the live audience on his phone, a mysterious text message notification popped up.
He pulled the phone away from the camera, furiously swiping away the notification while Ant carried the conversation.
Noticing what had happened, Ant cheekily took a swing at his co-host saying: “You’ll get in trouble for that,” indicating just how important the message or sender was.
Although fans weren’t quite able to make out what the message said or who it was from, the comments section lit up with theories.
Thousands were watching and many begged the presenter to share the message, as one noted he was “leaving us hanging”.
One fan believed: “I bet it was from his wife telling him off over something lol,” referring to Dec’s other half Ali Astall.
During the same live stream, the pair were faced with countless suggestions of celebrities to recruit for the next season.
One viewer recommended Tom Holland, but both Ant and Dec shut that thought down immediately.
Ant said: “No we can’t get Tom Holland on because he’s Spider-Man! You fool!”
Dec added: “And he’d be too good at the trials.”
It wasn’t all fun and games for the hosts though, as the show had featured a trivia question that got on some viewers’ nerves.
In order to win some delectable brownies, the campmates had to correctly answer a multiple-choice question: “Which of these had the largest UK viewing figures: The Men’s Euro 2020 final, the Women’s Euro 2022 final, or the Queen’s Funeral?”
While the celebrities ultimately got the question wrong and watched their brownies be dropped off Kiosk Kev’s table, countless viewers slammed the “disrespectful” question.
One fan on Ant and Dec’s Instagram Live wrote: “I thought it was discussing that the world cup viewing was compared to the Queens funeral.
“Why did you have to do that?? So disrespectful.”
In the latest episode, comedian Babatunde Aleshe was voted out of the camp.
His exit leaves just six celebrities remaining, including West Suffolk MP Matt Hancock.
Also still in the jungle are fan-favourites to win Mike Tindall and Jill Scott as well as Owen Warner, Chris Moyles and Seann Walsh.
I’m A Celebrity continues on ITV at 9pm.
