I swapped Aldi for Tesco & filled my car with cut-price bargain buys – I saved over £112 & I’m stocked up for Christmas | The Sun
A SAVVY shopper has revealed that she swapped Aldi for Tesco and was left open-mouthed at the supermarket’s epic bargains.
Bargain hunter Emilie Baker was left very impressed when she was shopping in her local Tesco, in Pontypridd, Wales, when she spotted a huge selection of reduced children's toys.
Emilie made sure to nab loads of the bargain buys, so much so that the front of her car was completely full of the cheap bits.
Emilie proudly took to Facebook to show off her purchases, leaving many stunned.
Posting in the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, which has 2.2million members, the thrilled shopper shared a picture of her latest finds.
She said: “Tesco have huge savings on certain toys.”

Emilie then listed the toys that she nabbed and how much she paid for them, as she explained: “Clammy elephant including 10 soft blocks, £24 down to £11.50.
“Clammy 28 soft blocks, £30 down to £14.50.
“Peter rabbit push along £15, down to £10.
“Spidey puzzle and Peppa puzzle, £20 down to £5 each.

“Little timbers wooden stacking train, £20 down to £8.
“Little timbers wooden pound and tap bench, £20 down to £8.”
Emilie later explained that she was thrilled with her purchases and stocked up on the cheap toys for Christmas presents.
She noted: “Never usually shop in Tesco for my weekly shop but I needed things there Aldi didn't have so I decided to do my shopping there.
“Very lucky find and all put away for Christmas.”
Emilie shared a picture of her Tesco scanner, which revealed that she had saved a whopping £112.63 on her mega haul.
She continued: “That’s how much I saved with obviously some food items that were on Clubcard prices.”

Many social media users were left gobsmacked at the mega savings and many were desperate to go to Tesco themselves.
