EastEnders’ Amy Mitchell star Ellie Dadd looks worlds away from soap in new snap
Actress Ellie Dadd is known for her portrayal of troubled teen Amy Mitchell onEastenders , who usually appears make-up-less, in the most simple clothes and in apparent distress.
But this time, Ellie took a break from her distraught character, as she reminded her fans of who she truly is in real life.
On Tuesday (15 August), the soap star took to her Instagram page to share a couple of selfies, in which she looked very different from her usual Amy-self.

Ellie, who has been playing the role of Amy since 2022, had clearly spent some time tanning, as she flaunted a glowly skin in an embroidered white top.
The actress captioned the post: “Sun kissed and living my best life,” along side a smiley emoji face and a white heart.
In the first picture, Ellie’s radiant green eyes were put on display, while in the second picture, the actress was closing her eyes, showing long and curly black lashes.
Fans were quick to shower the actress with compliments, as a person wrote: “gorgeous,” alongside an emoji representing pink hearts.
“You look beautiful and I watch EastEnders, I’m your biggest fan because you are really good at acting,” a fan gushed.
Another person commented: “Beautiful, hope you are having a fab holiday.”
“The prettiest,” a separate person wrote.
An Instagram user chimed in: “You look beautiful Ellie and I love your hair,” along with emojis of a smiley face with heart shaped eyes and a flame.
The Kent-born soap star has been keeping her fans updated for the last couple of days on social media with numerous snaps of her, visibly on a beachy holiday.
Some fans have even speculated that she was staying in Portugal, but information of her whereabouts are yet to be confirmed.
Ellie reprised the role of Amy from its previous actress Abbie Burke, who had played the character since 2014.
On the show, Amy is the daughter of Roxy Mitchell and Jack Branning and was at the centre of a paternity twist storyline when she was born on the soap in 2008.
Ellie is currently portraying a 14-year-old on the show, while she is herself 18 in real life.
