Loose Women fans plead get him off as they cringe over Cliff Richard chat

Loose Women: Cliff Richard dances to the audience

Sir Cliff Richard, 82, was full of energy during his latest Loose Women appearance, so much so that he left the panel to show off some dance moves.

The music legend was being interviewed by Kaye Adams, Gloria Hunniford and Frankie Bridge on Tuesday’s instalment of the ITV show about his illustrious career.

During the interview, they asked him about meeting the late King of Rock’n’Roll Elvis Presley many decades ago in America.

They also talked about the Heartbreak Hotel singer’s iconic moves which sent fans wild in the 1950s and 1960s.

Sir Cliff could not resist doing an impersonation of Elvis for Loose Women viewers so he stood up from his seat and walked to the front of the panel.

He started swinging his hips and trying his best to look like the late Memphis rocker, but it did not go down well with many ITV viewers who were left “cringing”.

Venting on Twitter, Jodie fumed: “Cliff Richard is insufferable. Get him off. #LooseWomen.”

A stunned Lisa wrote: “Oh my God, what is he doing? #LooseWomen”

Sarah penned: “None of us need to see Cliff Richard gyrating when we’re having our lunch #LooseWomen.”

Another unimpressed user remarked: “This is pure cringe #LooseWomen.”

Despite the backlash, other viewers were thrilled to see Sir Cliff on the programme.

One fan penned: “Cliff looks fantastic for his age. What is his secret? #LooseWomen.”

Peter Todd shared: “Gloria and Sir Cliff’s friendship is absolutely fantastic. Plus, you can see it’s not just for the TV screens, but it’s a true and long-life friendship with some amazing stories.”

Cliff and Gloria go back 50 years and the pair spoke about their friendship later on in the interview.

Gloria, 83, said: “Cliff has made a really, really good friend. He’s always solid and very loyal and I always say there are two Cliff Richards.”

“When I see you in the Royal Albert Hall you are a performer and you look like 45 or something and then I see you in the kitchen with all the wrinkles…” Gloria quipped.

Loose Woman airs on weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
