Four great, no-heat kitchen appliances on sale, because it’s too hot to actually cook

We know, we know: It’s way too hot to cook right now. But it’s stomachable if you don’t have to turn on your oven, and, well, it just so happens that the fan-favorite Instant Pot’s on sale today. That’s as good an excuse as any to finally buy it, plus a few other low-heat kitchen gadgets.

Instant Pot

It’s not your grandma’s slow cooker. This buzzy, multifunctional pressure cooker-slash-slow cooker is almost as easy as calling for pizza delivery, and often faster. All you have to do is assemble a few ingredients and press a few buttons. (Also: It helped one mom of three drop 125 pounds!) Walmart’s selling the trendy gizmo this weekend for $79.95, or $20 off its regular price. Strike while the pot is hot!

Farberware Oil-Less Fryer

Fries sans guilt? Yes, we’ll be wanting that. Futuristic little air fryers healthify fried food: Whereas other cooking methods would require gobs of oil, air-fried foods typically require less than a teaspoon of oil thanks to a high-tech method of circulating heat. Dedicated owners have said it approximates the taste and crunch of fried food. Save money as well as calories this weekend: The popular Faberware model is on sale at Walmart for $29.00, which is about 35 percent off the retail price.

George Foreman Grill and Panini Press

Just in time for back-to-college shopping sprees, the good ol’ George Foreman grill and panini press — ideal for owners of tight spaces and lovers of grilled cheeses — is on sale at Bed Bath & Beyond for $19.99, $10 cheaper than usual.

Cuisinart Food Processor

If you’re nixing heat in the kitchen, you may as well nix the labor, too: This Cuisinart food processor handles chopping and mixing for you with a choice of three blades. One more thing it’s chopping? Its own price. The food processor is selling on Amazon for $157.59, while it normally costs $199.
